Nabih Youssef Associates was the Structural Engineer of Record for this new emergency operations campus for the Orange County Fire Authority. The new campus consists of the following buildings:
911 Communications Center (Essential Service Building)
Public Services and Support Center
Fleet Services and Material Management Center
Retail Services Building
The 911 Communications Center was base isolated using sliding rubber isolators. The client opted to implement the base isolation method since it provides unparalleled seismic protection for the structural systems, the critical non-structural elements and the occupants.
